Yes/No Questions in Noun Sentences with bu/şu/o
In Turkish, when you point to something, you often use bu, şu, o. To ask “Is this/that … ?”, you simply add the question word mi/mi/mu/mü.
Examples:
Bu kalem mi? → Is this a pen?
Evet, bu kalem. (Yes, this is a pen.)
Evet, kalem. (Yes, [it is] a pen.)
Hayır, bu kalem değil. (No, this is not a pen.)
